I was just watching 'Marley and me' last night when I thought about all the sad films in life. I was there, cuddling up to mummy bear (we were both crying) when I thought, 'why do people make sad films?' I understand if it's a factual film like 'saving private ryan' or something about the holocaust. But a film about getting a dog (WARNING: SPOILER ALERT) and it dying! I know these things happen, but surely, if I was a film maker or a script writer, I'd want to make a feel good film! I'm not moaning about this, I just don't see the point of making people want to cry. I don't know, maybe they want people to know what sadness goes on in the world and maybe want them to be more charitable? I don't know! Maybe you could comment saying why you think that is and what YOUR favourite films are?
lots of love
L
